Enrollment Eligibility
Juan Cabrillo Elementary School is located on Morning View Drive in Malibu and is located just North of  Kanan Dume Rd. The campus enjoys a beautiful view of Zuma Beach.  Juan Cabrillo is open to families residing within the schoolÕs attendance area. The geographic boundaries extend from Zumirez Drive (just South of Kanan Dume Road ) and continue North to the Ventura County line. Kindergarten Round-Up
The Kindergarten Round-Up is a special orientation held each Spring for parents of school-age children age 5.

Step-By-Step Enrollment Guide
  1. Become familiar with key enrollment facts.
    It is necessary to complete an enrollment packet if your child will be entering elementary school, kindergarten through grade 5, and is new to the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Enrollment packets may be picked-up in the school office in March for the following school year.

  2. Plan ahead to register.
    Please read and follow all instructions carefully when completing the enrollment packet.  Be sure to schedule medical appointments in advance to complete state requirements for school entry.  Plan to bring an original Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, and residency documents as described in your packet.

  3. Schedule enrollment appointment.
    Enrollment is done by appointment once your enrollment packet is complete. Appointments may be scheduled from mid March through mid May. Please plan ahead for Spring Break as the office is closed during this time. The enrollment packet contains detailed information on how to enroll.
